Call for Poster:
Within the research field of children’s literature and young adult literature, diversity is a concept of ever-growing importance. This is true both in terms of how different aspects of diverse representation have been analysed within the fictional worlds of children’s literature and in terms of how the debate about including children’s literature written by authors from different countries, different cultures and of different genders, and so on, has been raised within the publishing world, libraries, schools, and universities. We would like to invite you to present a poster at our international symposium. Topics include, but are not restricted to,

*What does diverse representation in children’s literature/young adult literature mean?
*Why is diverse representation in literature for young readers important?
*Children’s literature/young adult literature from an intersectional perspective
*Children’s literature/young adult literature and any power category of your choice, for
  example race, age or gender
*Children’s literature/young adult literature and systemic oppression
*Overviews of the publication of children’s literature/young adult literature in relation to questions of diverse representation

Please declare your intent to participate in the symposium by the 10th of December 2017 at the latest, by sending an e-mail to malin.alkestrand@lnu.se. Please submit your abstract of 250-300 words and a short, academic bio to the same e-mail address by the 1st of January 2018.
